Fact Hub Myanmar is a nonprofit, volunteer-run science communication organization. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit our website or interact with our content, how we use it, and your rights.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We collect only what is necessary to operate our website and communicate with our readers.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health information, financial details, identification numbers). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:
- Improving our website and understanding which content is most useful to readers
- Sending newsletters to subscribers who have explicitly opted in
- Responding to messages sent through our contact form
- Processing and evaluating article submissions from contributors
- Monitoring for security threats and preventing spam
We do not use your data for advertising. Fact Hub Myanmar carries no advertising and has no commercial data relationships with advertisers. We will never sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you across other websites.
5. Contributor Data
If you submit an article to Fact Hub Myanmar, we collect your name, email address, and any biographical information you choose to provide. If your submission is published, your name, bio, and any social media links you provided will appear on the site. If your submission is not accepted, your data is retained only as long as necessary for the editorial process and then deleted.

6. Your Rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
You can ask us to correct inaccurate data we hold.
You can ask us to delete your data, subject to legal obligations.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
You can request your data in a portable format where technically feasible.
Where we rely on consent to process data, you can withdraw it at any time.

7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect data stored on our systems, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our website
- Password-protected access to our content management system
- Two-factor authentication on all administrative accounts
- Regular security updates to our website platform
In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify affected users as promptly as possible.
