Fact Hub Myanmar is built entirely by volunteers who believe science belongs to everyone. If you share that belief, there's a place for you here.
Fact Hub Myanmar is Myanmar's independent science communication platform. We publish science news, explainers, fact-checks, and in-depth features in Burmese — all written, edited, and fact-checked by a team of dedicated volunteers. We're always looking for curious, committed people to join us.
You don't need to be a professional scientist or journalist. You need curiosity, a commitment to accuracy, and the time to see things through.
Research and write articles on science topics in Burmese — news, explainers, features. No science degree required; accuracy and clear thinking matter most.
Verify claims, sources, and data in articles before publication. Critical reading and attention to detail are essential. Scientific or journalism background is a plus.
Review and refine articles for clarity, structure, and scientific accuracy. Managing Editors oversee content strategy; Section Editors focus on specific topics.
Polish published text for grammar, consistency, and style. Ensure Burmese language quality meets our standards. Strong written Burmese is essential.
Create infographics, illustrations, and social assets that make science accessible and visually engaging. Adobe suite or equivalent experience helpful.
Produce and edit short educational science videos for social media and the website. Experience with video editing tools and Burmese-language content preferred.
Review the open roles above and identify what best fits your skills and the time you can commit. You can apply for more than one.
Email us at editorial@facthubmm.org with your name, the role you're interested in, a brief paragraph about yourself, and (if applicable) a writing or design sample.
Depending on the role, we'll invite you to a short conversation or a small trial task — usually a brief writing sample, edit, or design exercise. This gives both sides a chance to see if it's a good fit.
Successful applicants receive an orientation to the organisation, introduction to our workflows, and access to team tools. You'll be assigned to your team and paired with a point of contact.
A note on commitment: All roles are volunteer positions. We understand life is unpredictable. We ask only that you communicate openly when things change — we'd much rather know early than have work fall through a gap at the last moment.
Send us a short introduction and we'll get back to you within a week.
