Fact Hub Myanmar publishes science, health, technology, and evidence-based analysis written for a Burmese-language readership. We accept contributions from external writers — academics, science communicators, journalists, and researchers — who meet our editorial standards.
All external contributions go through the same six-stage editorial review as our in-house content. We accept only work that meets our quality and ethics standards. Being accepted is genuinely competitive — and worth it.
Content We're Looking For
We focus on science, technology, and evidence-based inquiry. Our subject areas include:
These are starting points, not hard limits. If your piece is grounded in facts and rigorous thinking, we will consider it. We accept full articles, shorter pieces, analytical essays, explainers, and commentary.
What We Accept — and What We Don't
We want
- Evidence-based, factually grounded writing
- Strong research with properly cited sources (APA 7th)
- Critical analysis that challenges established but poorly-evidenced ideas
- Clear, accessible language that respects readers' intelligence
- Impartial analysis free from personal bias and unsupported opinion
- Independent, previously unpublished work
We don't accept
- Plagiarised content — fully or partially
- Hate speech targeting race, religion, or gender
- Misinformation or pseudoscience presented as fact
- Personal promotion or advertising-style content
- Unverified personal opinions stated as established fact
- Content previously published elsewhere
Review Process
Every submission receives a thorough editorial review. There are no shortcuts — a piece that fails our standards will be rejected or returned for revision, regardless of the author's profile.
We evaluate structure, grammar, tone, approach, and the depth and relevance of the subject matter. Pieces that don't meet our basic standards are returned at this stage.
Our team reviews all research, records, examples, explanations, and evidence cited in the piece. Source quality is assessed against our source hierarchy.
We assess the overall architecture and internal consistency of the argument — whether claims follow from evidence, whether conclusions are supported.
Our fact-checking team independently verifies key claims. Sources are accessed directly — not taken on faith from the submission.
Our editorial team may make light edits for house style, clarity, and flow — without altering the author's voice or meaning. Major revisions are discussed with the author.
The editorial board makes the final accept/reject decision. Accepted pieces are scheduled; rejected pieces receive written feedback where possible.
Copyright & Your Rights
You own your writing. Here's the arrangement.
You retain full copyright to your work. By submitting, you grant Fact Hub Myanmar the right to publish it (First Publication Rights). After 30 days from publication, you are free to republish your work anywhere you choose — except by selling it.
Your name, photo (optional), biography, and social media links will be published with your piece. If you prefer a pen name, that can be arranged. The best and most distinctive submissions may be featured in our annual digital magazine and shared across our social media platforms, with your permission.
Intellectual property is taken seriously. Plagiarism — including partial copying, disguised paraphrasing of uncredited sources, or false citation — is grounds for immediate rejection and permanent ineligibility.
